About
Create a dimensional Beaded Bow with Nichole Vogelsinger in this embroidery and beadwork workshop created for Michaels Stores.
In this class, Nichole walks you through the full process of stitching a raised bow using padded satin stitch techniques and layering threads to build beautiful texture and dimension. Once the bow is formed, you will add detailed beadwork using bugle beads, seed beads, and accent beads to outline and fill the ribbon tails.
Along the way, Nichole shares helpful techniques for transferring patterns, managing thread tension, placing beads for balance, and finishing your hoop neatly. The combination of embroidery and beadwork creates a richly textured design that looks stunning displayed in an embroidery hoop.
This project is perfect for anyone who enjoys embroidery, beadwork, or mixed-media stitching and wants to explore adding beads to embroidered designs.

About Nichole Vogelsinger
Nichole Vogelsinger is an artist and author living in scenic Bucks County, Pennsylvania, with her husband and two sons. Coming from a family of creatives, Nichole’s passion for fibers, beads, and fabric started early. In 2012, she developed her signature embroidery hoop designs, combining fabric and intricate embellishments, which she shares with a global audience on Instagram (@wildboho). Her free-spirited approach—balancing chaos and control—encourages stitchers to explore creativity without limits.
Nichole creates video content and classes for John Bead and produces tutorials on her own YouTube channel, sharing her expertise with a wider community. She regularly teaches embroidery workshops across the U.S. and is the author of three books: Boho Embroidery: Modern Projects from Traditional Stitches, Boho Embroidery: The Pattern Collection, and her latest release, Needles Out!
