Project PDF and Shopping Guide Micro Embroidery Brooch
Create a jeweled night sky brooch using simple bead embroidery techniques in this step by step tutorial with Nichole Vogelsinger of Wild Boho.
In this project, you will stitch a miniature night scene onto fabric using embroidery basics combined with seed beads and embellishments. Nichole walks you through the full process, from setting up your hoop and fabric to building texture, adding beads, and finishing your piece into a wearable brooch.
This is a great project for anyone curious about bead embroidery or looking for a small, satisfying design that comes together beautifully. You will learn foundational stitches, how to place beads with control, and how to finish your work cleanly inside a mini hoop.
Materials include cotton fabric, embroidery hoops, beading needles, thread, seed beads, and decorative elements.

About Nichole Vogelsinger
Nichole’s creative journey began when, as a child, she would explore the local fabric shops with her mother. She developed a love for fiber arts and as an adult, hand embroidering printed fabrics became a favorite hobby. That hobby soon became an Instagram feed and then a book, Boho Embroidery (Lucky Spool, 2016) and then another book, Boho Embroidery: The Pattern Collection (Lucky Spool, 2018). She is the creator of the Boho Stitch Along, teacher of embroidery workshops and writer of her adventures in the world of stitchery at wildboho.com.
