Color is one of the most powerful tools in an artist's toolkit — and nothing demonstrates that better than seeing the same composition come to life in completely different color stories. In this class, you'll work from instructor-provided images of an agave plant in order to sketch and recreate it three times, each version using a different complementary color pair. Using Artist's Loft Acrylic Paint Markers, you'll explore how opposite colors on the color wheel create bold contrast and visual energy, and how your choice of palette can completely transform the mood of a single image. Along the way, you'll build confidence with paint markers and develop a more intuitive understanding of color relationships you can carry into any creative project.

While all three of these sketches may not be completed entirely on screen, this class will provide a comprehensive look at each step of the process so you can complete the sketches on your own.
