This class will outline a number of urban sketching tips & tricks using instructor-provided reference photos. All of the exercises in this class can easily transfer to urban sketching en plein air while traveling or roaming around your city. We will start with creating a layout on a piece of watercolor paper and then embrace whimsical lines by sketching in pen only. There will be brief tutorials on pen & ink shading techniques, easily creating a composition, capturing architecture, and rendering trees and flora in this class. There will also be tips on easy watercolor techniques and getting started adding watercolor to an urban sketch.

This class will reference several other classes by instructor Adrienne Hodge on the topic of linear perspective and urban sketching.
