This beginner friendly, quilted sunglasses case is designed to introduce you to foundational sewing techniques, including quilting, topstitching, sewing curves, and assembling a lined project—all while creating a practical accessory you can use every day. Educator Carly Olds will sew on the new SINGER® Heavy Duty 4552™, part of the next evolution of SINGER® Heavy Duty machines, launching at Michaels.

Today, you'll be sewing alongside hundreds of participants around the world using SINGER®, HUSQVARNA® VIKING®, or PFAFF® sewing machines. Together, we're celebrating creativity, building confidence, and sharing the lifelong skill of sewing with a new generation of makers.

• Lightweight Cotton Batting – 1 piece, 8" × 7" (20.3 × 17.8 cm)

• All-Purpose Sewing Thread

• Sewing Machine and universal Sewing Needle (Size 80/12 recommended)

• Fabric Scissors or Rotary Cutter

• Quilting Ruler or Measuring Tape (optional)

• Sewing Clips or Pins

• Iron and Ironing Surface (recommended)

• Point Turner (optional)

• Edge/Quilting Guide Attachment (optional, for evenly spaced quilting lines)
