color-blocked pitcher

Turn your plain ceramic pitcher into a one of WOW with some simple color-blocking. Just mark off a section with stencil tape, and start painting. The hardest part of this project will be deciding which color you like best!
Step 1
First, plan out how you’d like to paint your pitcher. You can color-block along a diagonal line, like we’ve done here or create your own pattern. Once you’ve decided, use the stencil tape to outline your design.

TIP: After you’ve taped the pitcher, press down on the tape’s edges with your fingers to make sure no paint can seep underneath.
Step 2
Paint the taped-off area of your pitcher with Chamomile acrylic paint. (We love this bright yellow color, but feel free to pick your own favorite! This project is all about making things the way you like them.) Let the paint dry, then apply a second coat. Let the second coat dry completely, too.
Step 3
Carefully peel away the stencil tape and set your pitcher out for all to admire!
