You're new to the skills necessary to complete this project, or maybe you've tried them just once or twice before.
Step 1
Remove backing from black/white adhesive fabric sheet and align the edge with the front cover of the journal. Leave about one centimeter of fabric past the edge of the cover and press the fabric down onto the journal.

NOTE: If there is excess fabric that continues past the spine of the book, cut it off.
Step 2
Tightly wrap the excess centimeter of fabric down along the edges of the journal cover. It will adhere to the inside.
Step 3
Repeat Steps 1-3 on the back side of the journal.
Step 4
Cut a strip of adhesive fabric in a contrasting color that is 3½” to 5” wide, to wrap around the spine of the journal. Remove the backing and press it down on the spine of the journal.
Step 5
Trim the excess fabric from the spine piece.
Step 6
Using permanent markers, color in the spaces on the black/white fabric. Be sure not to press too hard, to avoid color bleeding.
