coloring t-shirt

Take your coloring off the page with this beautiful colored t-shirt. Follow the pattern or create a design of your own.
Step 1
Before beginning, wash and dry the T-shirt, without fabric softeners, in order to remove any sizing. Use your computer and printer to print out the template.

Tip: Simply adjust the size of the template before printing, to accommodate any size of T-shirt.
Step 2
Following packaging directions and working in a well-ventilated area, spray a very light layer of stencil adhesive onto the front of the template. Let the template sit for about 5 minutes to let the stencil spray become tacky. This will make it easier to remove the template from the T-shirt later.
Step 3
Print pattern from michaels.com.

Step 4
Place the T-shirt onto the form and smooth it out. Slip the template in between the form and T-shirt, and adjust it until the design is placed exactly where you want it. Smooth down the T-shirt over the top of the template so that there are no wrinkles.
Step 5
With the black brush tip marker, press lightly to trace the template design onto the T-shirt. Carefully peel away the template, and use the remaining brush tip markers to color in the design to your liking.

Tip: Keep the T-shirt form underneath the shirt as you color in order to keep the ink from bleeding through onto your work surface.
Step 6
Air the shirt for about an hour to reduce the odor, then place in a dryer on high heat for 30 minutes to heat set the ink. Wash in cold water only.
