Not right for Macrame, despite the description
I bought this cord from my local Michael's store, as it was the only option for macrame cord. I am brand new to macrame and foolishly thought that Michael's would carry what I needed to get started. I have now realized that this cord is the worst for macrame and I have since purchased better, softer cord elsewhere. I am very disappointed that I trusted Michael's to help me begin a new hobby. This cord has made learning macrame very difficult and does not make designs look good at all. I would discourage anyone from buying macrame cord from Michaels, unless you know exactly that this type of cord is what you need. From what I can tell it would only work for VERY specific products.

macrame cord
Lots of knots and blemishes in these 10 rolls I bought. Lots of fraying and imperfections. Good thing I was only making masks with this and used it for ties as it was pretty rough and had to waste alot

Good but not for what I needed
It was my intentions to make an intricate wall hanging with this cord but I found after 3hrs of working with it, I should of gone with a softer, more pliable cotton cord that is twisted instead of woven like this one. This cord would be good for may other projects but it was just too stiff for a even-laying wall hanging. Live and learned, hopefully someone can learn from my mistake. Happy crafting!

Extra Length, But Some Imperfections
This craft cord worked great for a macrame wall hanging! Of the three spools of cord I purchased from Michaels, all three had more cord than the specified 50 yards, which was a nice plus. However, two of the spools had short sections of imperfections (a knot to attach two separate strands of cord, several inches of pulls/tears to the cord, e.g.). Regardless, I would still recommend and/or purchase this product again.
