crate shoe holder
Bring order out of the chaos that is your awesome shoe collection! Actually, our wood crates are perfect for organizing shoes, boots, mini-umbrellas, backpacks, leashes and anything else that tends to end up in a heap inside your door. Just sand, paint and start stacking!
Step 1 |
Sand each of the crates, inside and out, until they’re nice and smooth. Brush away any leftover dust or debris. |
Step 2 |
Paint each crate with Concrete and True White outdoor paint. Let your first coat dry, then check to see if the wood’s completely covered. Add one or two additional coats of paint, if you’d like. TIP: Try alternating both colors on one crate, like we did. You can paint the bottom slats gray and the sides and exterior white, or vice versa. Really, any combination will look great, experiment and have fun! |
Step 3 |
Once the crates are dry, stack them together and use them to store your shoes and boots, like we’ve done in our photo. Nice and neat! Share your project photos with #MakeItWithMichaels |
