Perfect for needlework, darning stitches, smocking, ribbon embroidery and other embroidery techniques, these darning needles belong in every stitcher's toolbox. They're perfect for projects involving pearl cotton, embroidery floss, darning thread and ribbon. With a smart numerical system, it's easy to select the right tool for your project: the number on the needle corresponds to the size of the eye and the thickness of the needle. Used on leather
Needed a strong needle to repair a leather work belt and this was perfect. Don’t forget to use a thimble though!

Best hand needle for someone with arthritis
I rarely need to buy hand needles since I've been sewing for 60 years. However, I've been working on restoring a vintage baby quilt and needed to find one that's strong yet not too thick and longer than an embroidery needle so I could add some missing embroidery thread to a piece of cloth that's more than 50 years old. Thought I'd never find what I needed until I found this package of needles. It's exactly what I've been searching for and has done the job without leaving any unsightly holes. Regular embroidery needles are too short for my purpose and I've searched at every store near me, including a Needlework Shop, without success. I've seen other darning needles but they were too thick. I've finally found the perfect needle for fingers with arthritis!
