dragon's breath slime

Let’s make this fierce, glitter-filled Dragon’s Breath Slime! It’s got four streaks of colors and we’ll show you how to make each one! Just get your Elmer’s® glue ready, then check out the video and read our instructions below!
Step 1
Project Notes:
   -  You can mix and match any type of Elmer’s® glue for this recipe.
   -  When you’re crafting with little ones, keep an eye on the sequins, since these may present a choking hazard.
   -  When making slime, be smart and protect your work surface with wax (or palette) paper. You also may want to wear an apron (or other protective garment) to avoid slime-related accidents.

This Dragon's Breath slime is made from four separate batches: one white and three clear. So, start out by finding your favorite white glue and clear glue slime recipes.

TIP: Need some good slime recipes? Elmer’s® has a ton; just click here.
Step 2
Make each batch of slime, adding colors according to your recipe(s). Here’s how to make each one:
   -  Red Slime: Make a batch of white glue slime, mixing in plenty of red icing color until it’s very red.
   -  Orange Slime: Make a batch of clear glue slime, mixing in Lemon Yellow icing color and just a little bit of red icing color until you have a bright orange slime.
   -  Yellow Slime: Make a batch of clear glue slime, mixing in Lemon Yellow icing color only.
   -  Black Slime: Make a batch of clear glue slime, mixing in lots of black icing color.

TIP: Dip a craft stick into the food coloring container, then mix the color into the glue, stirring thoroughly until it’s completely blended. Always use a new, clean craft stick when dipping into your food coloring in order to avoid cross-contamination.
Step 3
Next, you’ll add your glitter and/or sequins mix-ins! Flatten out each slime on a separate piece of wax (or palette paper) and sprinkle on your mix-ins as follows:
   -  Red Slime: No mix-ins are needed for this slime...it’s perfect just the way it is!
   -  Orange Slime: Sprinkle on Orangeade fine glitter, orange metallic glitter and red sequins.
   -  Yellow Slime: Sprinkle on lots of white iridescent glitter.
   -  Black Slime: Sprinkle on black glitter and black iridescent sequins.
Step 4
Now, fold each slime’s edges in toward the center to blend the mix-ins into the slime. Continue folding and stretching each one until its mix-ins are evenly spread throughout the slime.
Step 5
Form each slime into a long strip and lay each strip next to the other on your non-stick surface. Now, pick up all the slimes at once and blend them together by twisting them gently.

TIPS:
   -  You can twist once or twice to keep the colors mostly separate or continue twisting and folding them together until they’re completely blended. Just keep in mind that the more you blend the slimes, the more the individual colors will disappear.
   -  If you plan to keep your slime for more than a few hours, be sure to store it in a (large) airtight, sealable container (or a re-sealable plastic bag).
