You're new to the skills necessary to complete this project, or maybe you've tried them just once or twice before.
Step 1
Preheat oven according to recipe (400°-425°). Lightly coat baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.

Mix scone batter according to recipe. Add a couple drops of Copper food coloring to the batter, if desired.
Step 2
Turn the dough out onto a clean work surface. Knead the dough a few times to ensure it is thoroughly combined. Pat or gently roll the dough into a 7" circle.
Step 3
Cut the round of dough into eight equal triangles. Place each triangle into the ceramic dish.
Step 4
Bake 14-16 minutes, or until lightly browned on top. Cool completely before icing.
Step 5
Prepare 1 or 2 cups of medium/thick consistency royal icing. Divide the batch into two mixing bowls; tint one of the bowls with icing orange, and the other bowl of icing green.
Step 6
Fill one decorating bag with the orange icing and a second bag with the green icing. Use scissors to snip the very end of the green icing bag and ice the “leaves” of the scones in a quick, zigzag motion.
Step 7
Snip the very end of the orange icing bag and ice the “carrot” part of the scones in a quick, zigzag motion. Let set completely.
