easter paint splatter apron

Step 1
Project Note: Plan ahead, as this project will need to sit out and dry for 24 hours.

Iron the wrinkles out of the apron.
Step 2
Cover working area with newspaper (or a splatter mat). This project can get messy.
Step 3
Lay the aprons out flat on the splatter mat. Working on several at one time is a great idea.
Step 4
Mix the fabric medium with one color of acyrlic paint in a disposable cup and stir well with a paintbrush. Mix one part medium with two parts paint.
Step 5
Hold the paintbrush, loaded in paint, up to the apron with one hand, and tap it against your other finger. The paint should splatter toward the apron. Continue until you like the pattern of that color.
Step 6
Repeat the splatter techique with the other paint colors.

TIP: Wash the paintbrush in between colors or use a new one for each color.
Step 7
Allow the aprons to dry for 24 hours prior to moving.
Step 8
Heat set the paint by ironing the aprons again prior to washing.
