Great starter kit!!
Ordered as a Christmas present for my daughter so we could begin the crocheting adventure together. Easy for her to use the biggest hook, me the size that is comfortable. Easy to use, very reasonably priced. Very sturdy.

Love the variety of sizes of the hooks
It was great when I stsrted with a yarn I hadn't used before..it wasn't exactly what I was hoping for..pulled it and used a different size hook, and it came out perfect

Don’t like new finish
One of my favorite crochet hooks was my Susan Bates K 6.5mm. When I lost it I replace it with a Silvalume. The finish is so slick I find it difficult to use. It doesn’t grasp the yarn well. Wish they’d bring back their old style.

Color rubbed off on hand, oily & smelt bad
I just received these in the mail and was very excited to open them and try them out with the yarn I also received from Micheals. I was very disappointed after crocheting for less than 30 min all my fingers turned blue from the crochet hook and it was extremely hard to take off (I used fast orange twice and dawn dish soap twice as well to take the staining off). I also noticed when I opened the package the hooks were slick with some type of oil? It was very strange. I washed them in soap and water and dried them with a towel to see if it helped but that was all before the hook stained my hand. I also noticed a foul plastic smell emanating from the vinyl package and a residue of said oil?? I was so upset that this happened as I just begun my crochet journey and now have to return my hooks after such an ordeal. I think the hooks were defective and the paint they coated them with was bad or something. 1/5 for me :(

Great hooks but look out
Got a nice hook but upon first use I realized there was some grooves on the hook and my yarn kept catching!!! I ended up just filing down the abrasion and sealing it with nail polish

Great hook - horrible design
As a crochet beginner there isn’t much I can compare these hooks to but I absolutely love how they work and feel. However, the dye/paint is rubbing off on my hook hand and my working yarn! I purchased this pack to allow myself to experiment with different hook sizes and that part has been wonderful.
