Intermediate
You're somewhat experienced with the skills necessary to complete this project, but you haven't mastered all the elements, yet.
Step 1 |
Trace child’s hand onto a piece of paper to create a template, and cut out. |
Step 2 |
Using the pattern, trace and cut out four hands from different color sheets of foam. You will need a total of 12 hands. |
Step 3 |
Arrange the hands in a circle, with thumbs pointing inward. Alternate the colors of foam so that they are evenly distributed. Use the image as a guide. |
Step 4 |
Once the hands are arranged evenly, glue the hands to each other, lifting each hand and applying glue to the overlapping portions only. Let dry at least four hours. |
Step 5 |
Once dry, flip the wreath over and lay out six jumbo craft sticks on the back, overlapping them slightly, to create a hexagon. This will be the framework at the back of the wreath. TIP: Make sure the craft sticks will not show once you flip the wreath over again. |
Step 6 |
Glue the sticks one at a time to the back of the wreath. Be sure to overlap them. Let dry again for another four hours. Share your project photos with #MakeItWithMichaels |
