Step 2 |
Measure and cut 18' of coiled wire and fold in half. TIP: For ease of use, straighten wire by holding one end of wire under your foot and pulling up on wire to straighten. |
Step 3 |
Twist wire around itself to create a stiffer surface to build upon. |
Step 4 |
Fold coiled wire length in half one more time. At the fold, create a small loop by twisting the wires together once. This will be your starting point for your heart. |
Step 5 |
Starting at the loop (the top center of your heart), bring the two wire ends down along each side to form a large heart. Eyeball the heart to ensure equal size on both sides. |
Step 6 |
Twist the two ends together where they meet at the bottom of the heart. Trim excess wire as needed. You now have a base to build the floral on top. |
Step 7 |
Starting at the top loop of the heart and working along the right half of heart towards the bottom, attach one end of a garland with a 6" length of green floral wire. You will wire one garland onto each side of the heart. |
Step 8 |
Continue wiring the first garland onto the right half of the heart, using 6" lengths of floral wire every 4" along the heart. |
Step 9 |
Repeat Steps 7 and 8 with the second garland strand along the left half of the heart. Start at the top of the heart and works towards the bottom. |
Step 10 |
Trim all blooms from stems using wire cutters. Arrange blooms as desired onto heart prior to gluing to the garland. |
Step 11 |
Glue blooms into place using generous amounts of hot glue. Set aside. |
Step 12 |
Trace patterns for the arrow onto the back of a 12"x12" Gold glitter cardstock sheet. |
Step 13 |
Cut arrow shapes from cardstock with scissors. Set aside. |
Step 14 |
