galentine's personalize it color-blocked terra cotta planter

Step 1
Pour some paint onto a paper plate (or palette paper). Using a foam brush, paint the entire exterior of the clay pot, as well as the top 2"-3" of the inside. Let dry and repeat, adding coats until you’re satisfied with the coverage.
Step 2
Use the stencil tape to mask off a portion of the pot. You can choose to create a triangle shape, a stripe or any other shape, as desired.

TIP: Make sure the inside edge of the tape is securely attached to the pot, so that no new applications of paint seep through and mess up your nice, clean lines.
Step 3
Paint the masked off shape with your second paint color. As before, paint a coat, let it dry and then repeat if necessary.
Step 4
While your final coat of paint is still wet, carefully pull away the stencil tape and let the pot dry completely.
