glow-in-the-dark slime

Make this Glow in the Dark slime project it is a fun Halloween slime project to do with the kids.
Step 1
Project Notes:
   -  All types of Elmer’s® glue work with this recipe; however, we used one 9 fl. oz. bottle of clear glue to make Glow-in-the-Dark Slime as shown.
   -  Be careful when children are crafting with pony beads, as the products do have a choke hazard warning on the label.
   -  Protect your work surface with wax (or palette) paper and wear an apron (or other protective garment) to protect clothing, as the food coloring may stain.

First, find your favorite glue slime recipe. For Glow-in-the-Dark Slime, add color according to your recipe’s instructions.

TIP: Elmer’s® has some great recipes; click here to download.
Step 2
This slime has only one color. To make it, use one 9 fl. oz. bottle of clear glue. To get the color shown, add a tiny amount of green food coloring, according to your recipe’s instructions.

TIP: Dip a craft stick into the food coloring container, then mix the color into the glue, stirring thoroughly until it’s completely blended. Always use a new, clean craft stick when dipping into your food coloring in order to avoid cross-contamination.
Step 3
Flatten out your slime on a piece of wax (or palette) paper and sprinkle on a little bit of glitter. Fold the slime’s edges in toward the center to blend the glitter into the slime. Repeat this technique to add glow-in-the-dark pony beads to the slime. Continue folding and stretching until all pony beads and glitter are evenly distributed throughout the slime.
Step 4
Use a black paint pen to add a skull face to your treat bag. Store your slime in the treat bag to play with later, or give it away to a trick-or-treating friend.
Step 5
If you intend to keep your slime for more than a few hours, be sure to store it in an airtight, sealable container (or re-sealable plastic bag).
