going coastal fabric spray tee

Step into summer with a DIY nautical striped tee that's perfect for a day in the sun.
Step 1
Wash and dry a plain white T-Shirt to remove the protective sizing from the fabric. (This is an important step because the sizing can block the fabric from absorbing the spray paint.)
Step 2
Lay your shirt out flat on a covered work surface and add strips of painter's tape horizontally across the entire shirt.
Step 3
Place a piece of wax paper or freezer paper inside of shirt to prevent paint from soaking through to the back side.
Step 4
Shake can well.  Spray a light, even coat of ColorShot across exposed fabric. Let dry for a few minutes and repeat with another light coat of color.
Step 5
Remove strips of tape and let shirt dry completely before wearing.

Tip: Wash and dry plain white T-shirt to remove sizing to ensure paint adhesion.
