Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply the best Yes, there are other high end brands out there that are generally quite good - e.g., Liquitex Professional Heavy Body - but no other brand has the pigment density/depth of Golden. Period. And it spreads with a smoothness and soft buttery ease that delivers delight in use. Yes, Golden is more expensive than other brands, but with good reason.
