Grumbacher® Damar Varnish Spray, Matte is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very convenient way to varnish A good traditional product, also useful to fix charcoal under sketch, but only on canvas or panel. Not for use on paper!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great For the previous comment. This is for oil paintings, not pastels or charcoal. That may be why you had a problem. Used for oil paintings it’s great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! I love this varnish spray! It does exactly what it says it does

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not only ineffective but harmful This spray not only failed to coat, but requires so much that it will damage your work. I've tried this product on both pastel and charcoal. In both cases, I attempted several layers, checking in between and allowing ample time to dry. Even after the 3rd coat, touching the drawings left the medium on my fingers even though, in some areas, the required heavy dose actually warped the page, was visibly lighter and glossy and caused discoloration and bleeding. What a waste. Glad I tested it first.
