You're new to the skills necessary to complete this project, or maybe you've tried them just once or twice before.
Step 1 |
Cut the stems of the Peony and Rose down to about a 2" stem to wire to the hoop. |
Step 2 |
Cut the Eucalyptus stem into three separate shorter stems. |
Step 3 |
Lay two of the Eucalyptus cut stems across the bottom of the hoop, climbing up each side. Position the flowers around the wreath so you can see how they will look with the Eucalyptus stems. Remove the flowers and use floral wire to wire the Eucalyptus to the hoop. TIP: Wire the stems but not out at the end, as you want those to climb up the sides and have movement. |
Step 4 |
Cut the three succulent heads off of the stem, keeping a 2"-3" stem for wiring. Wire the larger succulent on one side, and the other two on the other side. TIP: Again pre-plan by positioning the flowers ahead of time and then move them out of the way for easier wiring. |
Step 5 |
Wire the Peony stem to the bottom of the hoop. |
Step 6 |
Wire the Rose to the center of the arrangement. |
Step 7 |
Cut apart the Hops and wire the loose buds around the wreath. Use the flowers to frame the arrangement with pops of color. |
Step 8 |
Wire the last Eucalyptus stem and Hops to the center of the arrangement, draping over the flowers. |
Step 9 |
Once the arrangement is wired to the hoop, bend the stems and position them the way you want them to drape. TIP: If extra reinforcement is needed, use a hot glue to hold the arrangement in place. Share your project photos with #MakeItWithMichaels |
