impressart® mother's day necklace

Metal stamp this sweet, simple necklace for Mom! It’s such an easy way to make a keepsake that she can wear forever. In fact, we’ve made it even easier, with instructions and a video that’ll walk you through the entire project. Take a look!
Step 1
First, secure your ¾" blank to the stamping block with a straight stamp guide. Use the lines marked on the guide to find the center of your blank. That was easy!
Step 2
Select your first stamp. Hold it so that the ImpressArt® logo is facing you. This will ensure that the letter is stamped right-side up on your blank. Lightly drag the bottom of the stamp down across the blank until you feel the resistance of the guide sticker. Strike the stamp once with your hammer, using medium force, to imprint the letter. Now, repeat this step with each remaining letter.
Step 3
Once you’ve stamped each letter, remove the guide sticker and then stamp a whimsy heart below the word ‘love’. Now, you can remove the ¾" blank from the block.
Step 4
It’s time to stamp the 1" blank! Secure it to the block with another guide sticker.
Step 5
Select your letters and stamp each name onto the bottom edge of the larger blank, following its curve as you do so. Take your time and position each letter stamp carefully, striking just once with the hammer each time.
Step 6
Now, you’ll darken your letters to make them stand out. Just use the stamp enamel marker to color in the impressions on both blanks. Wait 1-3 minutes for the enamel to dry, then wipe away any excess on the blank’s surface with a soft cloth.
Step 7
Use your chain nose pliers to open up the jump ring. Slide on your 1" blank first and then add on your ¾" blank. Make sure you add each one with its stamped side facing the same way.

TIP: Here’s the best way to open and close a jump ring: Grasp the jump ring on both sides with pliers, then twist the ring open from side to side. Never pull the jump ring’s edges straight apart, since that can distort its circular shape. We’ve got a quick video that’ll show you how, click here.
Step 8
You’re almost done! Place your ball chain inside of the open jump ring and then close the jump ring. You’re ready to wrap this lovely gift!
