I am in love with this block

Use something around the house.
I used the unfinished concrete floor in my basement. Plus you can use your cutting board on your floor.

Um.....well....
Knowing how important a smooth surface is for stamping....I was disappointed to find 2 divets in the plate (on the good side). I had to use as is because of a gift timeline, otherwise I would have returned it. :(

WORKS great.
A bit small and color is tarnished already after only two uses. BUt is very sturdy, and as long as used on flat sturdy surface, stamping comes out well.

Very, very small!
This thing is microscopic! I don't know if the size will help me or not. About the size of a small post-it note. Not sure if I will keep it.

I wanted to like it....
I think this product will work well, however, I will be returning it because when I took it out of the packaging, it was very rusty. Was not impressed with the quality. For a new item, there shouldn't be rust all over it.

I was skeptical
I had a block for metal stamping, and wasn't pleased with it. A big heavy rubber block that came with a kit. I picked up the steel block hoping for better results, but honestly expected to be disappointed. The results were great. Much better impression, less taps with the hammer, and nearly no warping of the blank.

Worth Getting
While I have moved up to larger metal blocks these are so important in getting when doing stamping. You get a much cleaner impression and do not get the bounce back you would on other surfaces. This one is small, but they provide the measurements in listing info (which one should read before buying). It works good for a single item at a time.

Perfect travel or small projects size
I have larger blocks, but they are heavy to travel with when I am only working on small projects. I don't use the rubber feet because I like to use the unpolished side for "rough" work and the polished side when I want to keep my metal smooth and unmarked. Also appreciate the block edges are beveled and not sharp.

You can use a wooden surface instead of this and they do the same thing for a quarter of the price. No need to spend on this products unless you produce massive amounts of jewelry.

Perfect size.
I've now used this block for several projects. I wasn't sure if I should get this one or the larger one. I bought the smaller one since the largest piece of metal I had to stamp on had a 1" diameter. Definitely picked the right size.

I was looking on linepjp.
But I found it in the store. It weighs a ton but it should out last me,,
My friend's already shop at Michaels. And they return often.
I do have a problem . the bead and wire section are so high it hard to find things i am interested in. With poor vision cannot see if you have what it looking for (gauge, how many feet, is it round or half round etc)
