You're somewhat experienced with the skills necessary to complete this project, but you haven't mastered all the elements, yet.

leather tassel beaded necklace

Step 1
Place one of the oval filigree Found Objects™ on a piece of wax (or palette) paper. Use a foam pouncer to add Oil Rubbed Bronze metallic paint to the oval filigree in an up and down pouncing motion. Set aside to dry.

TIP: Once the Oil Rubbed Bronze paint is dry, spray the oval filigree with an acrylic sealer and set aside to dry.
Step 2
To make the bead links, thread a bead onto an eye pin. Form a simple wire loop by grasping the eye pin wire between the jaws of a pair of round nose pliers. Rotate the pliers toward you, keeping a firm grip on the wire until a small loop is formed. Attach bead links together as you go, making two 12-bead link strands. Set aside.
Step 3
Cut three 15" lengths of chain. Set aside.
Step 4
Cover the oval filigree Bead Landing™ Found Objects™ piece with Swarovski® crystals. Use the crystal glue wand to attach and let dry. Be sure to leave the top holes open in each side to attach the bead link strands to the filigree oval with a jump ring, once crystal glue is dry. Use image as a guide. Set aside to dry.

TIP: Thread a jump ring in the holes before you start to add the crystals as space holders (and a reminder to leave them accessible).
Step 5
Measure and cut a 3½" x 3½" piece of leather. Turn the piece over to the back so that the smooth side is facing the work surface. Orient the leather piece on the work surface so you can establish a top and bottom.
Step 6
Measure ¾" down from the top and make several horizontal marks across the leather piece. Tape the leather piece down to the work surface. Line up the bottom of the tape across the marks made ¾" down from the top edge.

TIP: The bottom of the tape will serve as the stopping point when cutting the fringe of the tassel.
Step 7
Make light vertical lines every 1/8", from the bottom of the tape down to the bottom of the leather piece. Cut along the lines to make the fringe of the tassel. Be careful to stay on the lines.

TIP: For easier cuts, use a metal ruler, rotary cutter and a self-healing mat. Using these, make marks every 1/8" across the bottom of the tape and cut the leather from the bottom of the leather piece, stopping at the bottom of the tape.
Step 8
Remove the tape. Tightly roll the leather piece into a tassel and spread some E6000® adhesive to across the ¾" section across the top of the leather piece near the end of the roll. Wrap a rubber band around several times over the top of the tassel, holding it in place while the adhesive dries. Set aside to dry.
Step 9
Attach the bead link strands to the oval filigree piece with jump rings.
Step 10
Open a jump ring, slide on one end of all three chain lengths and the opposite end of a bead link strand, and close jump ring. Repeat with the other end of the chain lengths and the second bead link strand.
Step 11
Once the adhesive is dry on the tassel, remove the rubber band. Slide an eye pin down the center of the tassel so that the loop of the eye pin sits on top of the tassel. Turn the tassel over and create a large loop so it will not slide out of the tassel.
Step 12
Punch a hole in the bottom center of the oval filigree and attach the tassel with a jump ring.

Project Note: With your leftover materials, you can make matching earrings and a bracelet.
