A fun set
This is my son's first app controlled LEGO set. The build was very easy for an eight-year-old, but he has a lot of fun playing with his robot and enjoys using the controls. He says he really likes the way the robot's eyebrows move up an down when the robot turns his head. This robot is equipped with a lot of tools, and my son really likes that also. He appreciated the new parts that this set comes with: a battery box, a controlling camera and an electric motor.
From the parents' point of view, we expected more from this set, but our son really likes it, so it was worth it.

Excellent educational toy
I rarely write reviews but this is just such a great Lego product that we are all totally taken away with it. My 6-year-old son has spent the whole week playing with Lego Boost already and I don't think he is finished with it. He is building all the different versions that are available based on the instruction and then coding the robots to do whatever is available. Lots of focus and fun, great in the grey lockdown winter.... I look forward to seeing all stuff he can do with it.

Disappointed
I bought this as a birthday gift for my daughter. Instructions were difficult to read on phone. The app was frustrating. Overall would not recommend. Lego has some great products, this was a let down.

It is fun and rewarding for my 6-year-old, but...
My kid got this last year for Christmas and is still playing with it almost a year later. He will take a few months off, then go back to it and do it all over again. If for that reason alone, it was worth every penny. However...
The tablet- and phone-only app is disappointing. Pretty much all kids have computers of one sort or another these days, especially with COVID-19, and the absence of Windows or Mac apps is a VERY disappointing oversight (to say the least). Even some sort of universal, web-based plug-in would be welcome. My house is full of Surface Pros, Windows, and ChromeOS devices. We have a total of one tablet - a smallish Fire Tablet. Discontinuing Windows support may have made sense in 2018, but now it is a head-scratcher. Also, not having universal Chromebook support is an odd omission for a company with Lego's resources. So much for "one device to rule them all," because a tablet isn't it.

Lego boost
Great product. I like how you can rebuild a variety of different things with one set and it is time consuming. I think the design is very convenient for younger children and the app is also easy to use. I would make sure you have a device that is compatible with the app. I did have a bit of trouble however connecting the set to Bluetooth because it kept turnng off after a while which I found was frustrating. Other then that I really enjoyed this set.

Don’t buy
Very disappointed in this, was a present, but the app doesn’t stay connected to it. I tried on 3 different phones (at different times) one phone didn’t connect at all, the other two did, but only for a few seconds, had to restart the app to get it to connect again, changed the batteries twice. Still nothing. My kid along with me was very disappointed, we love Lego but can’t believe it doesn’t work considering the price. Not a great birthday present in the end.

We loved it
I bought this set, as I wanted a fun activity during this covid-19 homeschooling period. I have 10y old twin daughters. They both loved it. We very quickly built the robot and the guitar. I'm thinking of buying a second one so that we don't have to break a construction to build a second one!

Boost what a wonderful Lego toy
I always try to avoid technology when I buy toy for my kids, and this is why Lego my best buy. We get Boost and things went wrong. We have boost since first day release and until now we did not fully enjoy it. It would be a complete if just provide this toy with a controller. So we tried to solve the problem of not using the iPad to build or play with Boost we couldn't, you cannot even avoid being connected to the net 100%. Lego listen I am sure 90% of your parents buyers don't want the kids to hold an iPad connected to the net. So we as a family suggest to Lego to come up with their own controller that can handle and control and build Lego without connecting to the iPad, something like Kindle with colors. I hope you get my idea, and thank you for all of the wonderful toys you bring to our life.
