These are my favorite canvases. I do like to make sure that the frame completely flat with no wobble before purchasing. If the canvas is loose at all I spray the back with a bit of water and hit it with a blow dryer and that tightens it up quickly.

I use this canvas non-traditionally
This size fits snugly inside my shadowbox with door that I purchase many years ago on sale at Michaels. I used a previous canvas to attach lapel pins (AKA, "hat tacks"), in evenly spaces rows and columns, in chronological order of my purchased souvenirs from my many travels. I now have more to display, but there is not enough room on my existing canvas. Therefore, I need another one. I may swap out previous canvas, or purchase another shadowbox. My shadowbox is deep enough to accommodate canvas with pins sticking above front surface, and thickness of wood stretchers is enough to accommodate clasps on backs of pins. Right now my filled shadowbox is in storage. However, when it was hung on my wall, I enjoyed looking at it and reminiscing about my past travels. I have many fond memories going back decades.

I actually bought this on accident. I wasn’t paying attention, and got this “Ultra-Smooth” canvas instead of the regular Level 2. I have to say, I enjoyed the smoother surface. I think I’ll try these again.
