Step 1

SIZES: Small/Medium (Large/X-Large)

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Width = 40" (46") and Length = 34" (36")

GAUGE: 7 dc x 4 rows = 4" in pattern; save time and check your gauge

STITCH GUIDE:

  • Bpdc (Back Post Double Crochet): Yo, insert hook from back to front to back around the post of the st and draw yarn through, [yo and draw through 2 loops on hook] twice.
  • Fpdc (Front Post Double Crochet): Yo, insert hook from front to back to front around the post of the st and draw yarn through, [yo and draw through 2 loops on hook] twice.


INSTRUCTIONS:

Body

Ch 71 (83).

Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across, turn – 70 (82) sc.

Row 2 (RS): Ch 3 (counts as dc), *sk 1 sc, dc in next 3 sc, yo, insert hook into skipped sc, yo and pull up a loop around 3 dc just worked, yo and pull through all 3 loops on hook (dc completed); rep from * across to last sc, dc in last sc, turn – 70 (82) dc.

Row 3: Ch 1 (does not count as a stitch), sc in each dc across, turn – 70 (82) sc.

Repeat Rows 2-3 until piece measures 34" (36)", ending with Row 3. Fasten off.

Fold piece in half with beginning chain and final edges together. Sew a 7½" seam on either side, sewing along the ends of the rows.


Sleeve Edging

Join yarn at the end of the seam around one of the 2 smaller openings, and work 2 rounds of single crochet. Fasten off.


Body Edging

Join yarn at the end of the seam around the larger opening.

Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc evenly around, working an even number of sc, sl st in 1st sc to join.

Rnd 2: Ch 2 (does not count as a stitch), *fpdc around next sc, bpdc around next sc; rep from * around, sl st in 1st dc to join.

Rnds 3-4: Ch 2, *fpdc around next dc, bpdc around next dc; rep from * around, sl st in 1st dc to join.

Fasten off.


Finishing: Weave in ends.
