Loops & Threads™ Yarn Winder is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 158.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not with your time This is the worst product ever. Don’t bother wasting your time with this. It makes horrible knotted messes of your yarn. I had everyone try it out and even watched a video. It is junk!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yarn Winder Well made. Simple to use for my great niece, 9 years old. Winds the one pound yarns into perfect bundles to be hung on Criss cross rack.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy it The yarn basically stays on only two inches of the machine. It catches as you try to turn it. I will be returning this item. And don't recommend anyone else buy it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from This yarn winder is just ok. The yarn winder/spinner is just ok. I could not find where it said how large (how many grams) the machine could handle. I discovered it only works to wind small-medium skeins of yarn, not large skeins at all! It also squeaks every time I use it and frequently will come out of the “guide” hole (which is what makes the yarn move to form a “cake” of yarn). I would definitely get the electric, large-xlarge skein winder that can handle the size skeins which are commonly made these days. I may keep this as a back up winder and get the larger winder for my yarn!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from In search of a better product This yarn winder was okay. It wound my first few skeins fine, but then it stopped working. It's just not sturdy enough. I finally gave up and hand-wound into balls the majority of my wind. I will be returning it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Winder Works great! Not really for a large ball of yarn all at once .. but it does work !

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Recommended for beginners. Instructions: Secure tail of yarn into a notch on the plastic wheel, wind working end around the spool, weave working end of yarn through the metal curlicue bit, turn the crank until the working end runs out. The only complaint I have is that it doesn't work well with bigger yarn scraps, like respooling the Caron One Pound or Caron Big Cakes and if you have to do it for a while, you're cranking hand might get tired. Otherwise, I'd recommend it for beginners!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't purchase No clear instructions on how to use it. My yarn ended up in a tangled mess.
