Side

Remove marker, pattern will naturally work around the project and work across the beginning of the rnd into the next rnd. If possible, try cover on your water bottle to measure, the fabric will stretch and can change measurements when on.

Pattern 1: [2 sc in next sc, sk 1 sc] repeat around until side measures 2” (5cm) from turning rnd.

Pattern 2: [2 hdc in next st, sk 1 st] repeat around until side measures 6½” (17cm), or 1½” (4cm) below the threads on your water bottle.

Pattern 3: [2 sc in next st, sk 1 st] repeat around until side measures 7½” (19cm), or ½” (1.3cm) below the threads on your water bottle.

Place removable marker in last sc and move marker up each rnd while working in a spiral.

Next Rnd: [Sc in next sc, ch 1, sk next sc] around.

Last Rnd: Ch 14, sl st in 1st ch, sc in each sc and ch-1 sp around, sl st in loop. Fasten off.

Finishing: Weave in ends.

Braided Tie: Cut 3, 24” (61cm), lengths of yarn from different color stripes in your ball of Cotton Colors.

Hold together and tie ends in an overhand knot about 1” (2.5cm) from one end. Braid 3 lengths together until braid is approximately 18” (46cm) long. Tie end in an overhand knot and trim remaining end to 1” (2.5cm) to match opposite end.

Thread tie through ch-1 sps with ends coming out opposite the loop.
