Rated 2 out of 5 by from A disappointment It's a Velcro headband with magnifying lenses. There were no instructions included. It was a bit of a puzzle as to how to use it, but I did finally figure it out. I was also disappointed that it was shipped by UPS SurePost instead of UPS home delivery, which is very inconvenient for me. With a 50% coupon, I only saved about $7.00 after shipping and tax. It wasn't worth it. I considered returning it, but that would require driving about 47 miles round trip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Understand how the two pairs of lenses work This comes with two pairs of lenses. One flips back and up into the top of the visor so that you see through just one pair of lenses. Or, it can flip down so that you see through both at the same time for the higher magnification. With my glasses on, and just the 2x power lens, focus seems to be best by holding something to a distance of the width of my hand with my fingers stretched as wide a possible from the visor front. Flipping down the other lens, increases magnification, but decreases the distance for focus, which was the width of my fingers squeezed tightly together. When a store clerk helped my try the visor at the store, I didn't at first realize that the lenses were doubled up, and I thought that the magnification was too great and working distance for reading too short. Then I realized that it was a double lens system with one that flips back and up and out of the way. I might still use the double lens system to thread needles. There is enough room between lenses and hands to do that. One could also have enough room to knit. The head band is adjustable. It is actually two flexible plastic straps with velcro sewn on. I have a large head and was able to adjust it easily to fit with strap to spare. It should work for a range of head sizes. Tension is not adjustable on the rivet hinges that allow the visor holding the lenses to be raised or lowered while keeping the headband in place. Raising and lowering can be accomplished with one hand, once one figures out where to place fingers. And, there's no tension knobs to fall off and loose, as happened when I tried another brand from a friend. I've bought two and plan to give one to my elderly mother. She uses an e-reader and computer for much of her reading. But this should help when she needs to read paper documents.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wasn't what I needed Seems to be a perfectly useful tool. When I put them on I had to bring my project up to the glades. I needed a magnifier for my project not my glasses.
