martha stewart spiderweb fascinator

Craft a creepy costume headpiece with the step-by-step instructions below! Martha Stewart’s Halloween collection makes this Spiderweb Fascinator simple and quick to DIY. Take a look at the supply list — no magic wands are necessary to conjure up this cutie!
Step 1

First, place your spiderweb placemat flat on your working surface. Insert the ends of a black headband through the webs that are closest to the placemat’s center.

TIP: The placemat should sit at an angle on your headband. If you need to, cut away some of the web near the placemat’s center, so you can place the headband exactly where you want it to lie.

Step 2
Next, cut a 24" x 24" piece of the black lace spiderweb tablecloth. Drape this piece over your placemat and headband. Use binder clips to fasten the lace fabric to opposite sides of the placemat. Make sure to place each clip midway along the lace fabric’s length.
Step 3
Let the lace fabric continue to drape over one side, so it becomes a veil that drapes over your face. Fluff the other side of the lace fabric into a large pouf, then clip the pouf into place at the center of the placemat. Then, clip a binder ring around the pouf to help it stay tall and full.
Step 4
Almost done! Now, just attach a creepy embellishment (like this honeycomb spider) to the top of your fascinator, then head out to scare the whole neighborhood!
