metal stamped layered necklaces

Step 1
Use chain and round nose pliers from the tool set to remove jump ring from disc. Set jump ring aside.

TIP: To open and close a jump ring, simply grasp the jump ring on both sides with pliers and twist the ring open side-to-side. Never pull the jump ring, which can cause distortion.
Step 2
Cut a short length of tape and tape down the Gold disc charm onto the steel block. Place the tape along the edge of the charm.

TIP: Be sure the hole remains at the top center of the charm when stamping.
Step 3
Align the letter stamp in the center of the disc and strike the top of the stamp one or two times with a stamping hammer.

TIP: For best results, try to hit the stamp in the center of the brass mallet for an even imprint.
Step 4
Apply a thin coat of black enamel on top of the letter imprint. Wipe excess enamel away with a paper towel.
Step 5
Cut a 15" length of Gold oxidized chain and add a clasp with a 4mm jump ring. Add a second 4mm jump ring to the opposite end of the chain.

TIP: The clasp and jump rings add an additional inch to the chain, for a 16" necklace.
Step 6
Re-attach the original jump ring to the Gold disc and slide onto the chain. Set aside.
Step 7
Open a medium Gold jump ring and slide on a block pendant and a Swarovski® crystal charm. Slide onto the Silver faceted ball chain.

TIP: The necklaces are very versatile, and can be worn either together or separate.
