mint morganite necklace
Step 1 |
First, cut about 15" of stringing wire. |
Step 2 |
Next, open the jump ring to detach about 1¼" of disc chain from the necklace then close the jump ring. |
Step 3 |
Thread one end of the wire through a crimp bead and then through the jump ring at one end of the 1¼" disc chain. Fold the wire over and thread it back through the same crimp bead. Push the crimp bead up until it is snug against the jump ring. |
Step 4 |
Add a little glue inside the crimp bead then squeeze the crimp bead closed with your needle nose pliers. |
Step 5 |
Thread beads onto the wire in the following order: five faceted pink beads, five Morganite beads, one faceted pink bead, five Morganite beads, your Mint pendant, five Morganite beads, one faceted pink bead, five Morganite beads and five faceted pink beads. |
Step 6 |
Repeat Steps 2-4 for the other side of the wire. Pull the wire so it fits tightly between the jump ring and the last bead. After tucking inside the last few beads, trim any excess wire as needed. Set aside. |
Step 7 |
For the center strand of your necklace, cut about 10" of string wire. |
Step 8 |
Open the jump ring to detach about 3" of disc chain from the necklace then close the jump ring. |
Step 9 |
Repeat Steps 3-4. |
Step 10 |
Thread beads onto the wire in the following order: three faceted pink beads, three and three faceted pink beads. |
Step 11 |
Repeat Steps 2-4, but with 3" of disc chain, for the other side of the wire. Pull the wire so it fits tightly between the jump ring and the last bead. After tucking inside the last few beads, trim any excess wire as needed. Set aside. |
Step 12 |
For the short strand of your necklace, detach about 15" of disc chain from the necklace, including the closure. |
Step 13 |
Attach the beaded strands to the necklace with the jump rings at the ends so they hang as desired. Share your project photos with #MakeItWithMichaels |
