You're new to the skills necessary to complete this project, or maybe you've tried them just once or twice before.
Step 1
Project Notes:
  • All types of Elmer’s® glue work with this recipe; however, we used one 5 fl. oz. bottle of clear glue and one 4 fl. oz. bottle of white glue to make Monster Slime, as shown.
  • Protect your work surface with wax (or palette) paper and wear an apron (or other protective garment) to protect clothing, as the food coloring may stain.

First, find your favorite glue slime recipe. Add color to each slime according to your recipe’s instructions.

TIP: Elmer’s® has some great recipes; click here to download.
Step 2
This slime has two colored stripes: green slime and purple glitter slime. To make the green slime, use one 4 fl. oz. bottle of white glue. To get the color shown, add Kelly Green food coloring and Juniper Green food coloring according to your recipe’s instructions, until you have the color you desire.

TIP: Dip a craft stick into the food coloring container, then mix the color into the glue, stirring thoroughly until it’s completely blended. Always use a new, clean craft stick when dipping into your food coloring in order to avoid cross-contamination.
Step 3
Flatten out your slime on a piece of wax (or palette) paper and pour wiggle eyes onto the slime’s center. Fold the slime’s edges in toward the center to blend the wiggle eyes into the slime. Continue until they are evenly distributed throughout the slime.
Step 4
To make purple glitter slime, use one 5 fl. oz. bottle of clear glue. To get the color shown, add Violet food coloring and a tiny quantity of pink food coloring according to your recipe’s instructions. Repeat Step 3 to blend fine pink and purple glitter into the slime, then mix in more wiggle eyes, as described above.
Step 5
Form each slime into a long strip and lay each one next to the other on your non-stick surface. Now, fold and twist the slime strips together until you have blended them just the way you like.
Step 6
Be sure to store your slimes in an airtight, sealable container (or re-sealable plastic bag).
