Multi Surface Premium Oil Based Paint Pen - Metal
This pen works great but, you have to know how to use it. Contrary to what the packaging tells you, this is what I do as I have used other brands of pens like this. #1 with the lid on shake the pen until you hear the ball inside shake loose and then keep shaking for about 5 seconds more. #2 Place pen tip (the end you'll be painting with) onto a scrap piece of paper and pump a couple of times to get the paint to come down. This may take one or two tries. Make sure the paint covers the tip and you are now ready to use. If this does not work paint may have dried up inside.

Lovely even flow, easy to use
I enjoyed using this on our Christmas cards. Shimmery, easy to write with, dries quickly and does not bleed through. Happy to report that it made it through all 50 or so cards last year and almost all of our cards this year before starting to show signs its running out. I'll be picking up more for sure!

Awful
I went for my third try today for this pen, and boy what a waste of time. I never write negative reviews like this but I’m EXTREMELY annoyed I spent so much on trying to make them work. I followed directions each time and it still doesn’t work. I even shook it once w the cap off and it exploded all over my couch. Definitely want refunds for both. Do yourself a favor and don’t buy!

DON"T BUY THIS PRODUCT
I have looked everywhere for a paint pen and I finally found one at Michael's. After reading the directions for the Craft Smart paint pen, I proceeded to shake the pen for the next ten minutes while pushing down on the tip like the directions say. Absolutely no paint has come out and I am incredibly upset that I wasted my hard earned money on this useless pen. I WIll be returning this pen and I expect a full refund. Don't let the word "premium" on the side of the packaging fool you. This is absolute trash. Why would a store sell a product that does not work? This is not the first time Michael's has sold me faulty products and I will NOT be returning to this store.

Stopped working after 15 min
I bought this to paint glass and it was working well for about 15 minutes and then just completely stopped and has ruined my project. The paint wouldn’t come out and when it did it was extremely thick and you could not make any fines lines which is what The pen is for. I am so disappointed and very frustrated.

BUYER BEWARE - grossly inferior product!
I purchased this paint pen, as well as an extra fine and medium tip to draw hyperspace on a piece of black foamboard for my son's Star Wars room. About 3/4 of the way through the project BOTH the fine and medium tip paint pens blobbed huge amounts of silver paint ON THE BLACK FOAM BOARD!!!! I am livid - I have to start all over again on a very time consuming project. I would NOT recommend these to ANYONE, unless you want a ruined project after you've already spent a long time on it!
