Works for plants!
I had some pressed plants with seedpods that made for a struggle to find frames that would accommodate their thickness. These were significantly more expensive than what I had hoped to pay but I had been looking for a while and they were worth it in that they work perfectly for what I needed them for.
The latch indeed sticks out one side - which appears to be the front but I just flipped it and it works absolutely fine no big deal.
I think the frames appear more yellow in the photos online. In person they look almost every so slightly white washed in a muddy way? Sounds bad but it's fine really.
One of the 2 frames I ordered are also not aligned properly on the hinges - which for this price I'd expect better. But the other is perfect.

Alcohol ink and float frames
I use these with alcohol ink in between the 2 pieces of glass, and paint trees with folk art multi surface paints. These paints cure in 14 days. These frames make a beautiful creation.

Perfect for pressed/dried flowers
My MaMaw passed away recently. I saved some flowers from her funeral. After pressing/drying them, I put them in the floating frame. It worked perfectly!
I also solved the problem that people were having with the hinge. I simply unscrewed both parts and switched sides. Now the overlapping part of the hinge is on the front, allowing the back to lay flat against the wall.
Sorry about the glare in the photos, it's the best I could do.

Not what I thought
I bought this frame for a 12 x12 picture. This is the only frame where the size advertised had nothing to do with the pictures it can hold. This is misleading and Michael's should be more consistent with its product names. I had to return this. Still waiting to hear from customer service.

Cute rustic boho style
I love the details on this frame, like the rustic boho finish and the little hinge detail as well as the nice quality rope. The only flaw is that the hint is placed so it doesn’t lay “exactly” flat agains the wall. Not a huge deal, but if you’re an absolute perfectionist, take note!

Perfect frames
Perfect for my use. I did three watercolor paintings on an odd size paper. Finding frames for them was darn near impossible until I came across these frames! Perfection! I had three extra frames left over, which held my grandchildren’s photos beautifully. I will be ordering these again.

Perfect with a little adjustment!
Great product at a great price. I turned latch around as mentioned by others so it would hang flat against wall. Love that it is easy to change artwork displayed. HINT: Use a Post-It note folded in half sticky side out behind picture to keep it from slipping.
