Newspaper Flowers

Mix your newspaper and magazine pages to create colourful flowers with different textures.

Materials

  • Recycled Newspapers and Magazines
  • Chenille Stems
  • Recycled Cardboard (Cracker or Cereal Boxes)
  • Sizzix® Machine (Optional)
  • Sizzix® Die Template - Flower (Optional)
  • Scissors/Ruler
  • Craft Smart® Craft Glue

Instructions

Step 1
Cut newspaper pieces 30.4 cm x 20.3 cm (12"x8") long.

Step 2
Stack ten pieces of paper together, and fold in fan shape back and forth.

Step 3
Tie folded paper in centre with chenille stem.

Step 4
Carefully separate the papers to create a flower.

Step 5
Cut flower shape using Sizzix® machine, glue to centre of fanned flowers.

Step 6
Use magazines in the same manner to create additional flowers.
