Print Project
halloween boo-ti-full friendship bracelet
Step 1 |
Measure and cut one 72" [182.8 cm] length of each of the following cord colors: black, purple, white, lime and orange (or colors of choice), for a total of five 72" [182.8 cm] lengths. |
Step 2 |
Gather cords together and align them so they are even. Fold them in half and tie an overhand knot about ½" [1.2 cm] from the fold. Tape the floss to your working space, above the knot. |
Step 3 |
Now, separate the cords so each color is together, then arrange them so they are in order that you would like your stripes. |
Step 4 |
To start the knotting process, place the A (black) cords perpendicular over the B (purple) cords, creating a “4” shape. Next, wrap the A cord ends under the B cords and thread through the loop of the “4” shape and pull the ends so the knot moves up to the top. Repeat for a second knot. The A cords are now all the way over to the right. |
Step 5 |
Repeat Step 4 with the B cords. Work them across all colors. |
Step 6 |
Continue this pattern until you reach about 1½" [3.8 cm] of knots. Tie an overhand knot, slide on a glow-in-the-dark pony bead and tie another overhand knot. |
Step 7 |
Thread “BOO” onto the two white cords and “TIFUL” on the two black cords. Tie another overhand knot about 2" [5 cm] from the last knot. |
Step 8 |
Add another glow-in-the-dark pony bead and tie another overhand knot. Start your knotted stripes again for another 1½" [3.8 cm]. |
Step 9 |
Tie an overhand knot, thread on two glow-in-the-dark pony beads and yet another overhand knot. Trim ends about 2" [5 cm] past the last knot. |
Step 10 |
To wear, slide the last knot through the loop at the other end. |
Step 11 |
If desired, cut a 15" [38.1 cm] piece of thread from each of the same colors, thread glow-in-the-dark pony beads and tie overhand knots on each side of the beads. Tim ends to about 2½" [6.3 cm] on each side then tie onto your wrist. |
