This 14-count Aida fabric will make a perfect base for your next cross stitch project. Aida cloth is an open-weave, even-weave fabric used for cross stitch embroidery. It has a natural mesh that facilitates cross stitching and because these canvases are stretched over a wood frame, there is plenty of stiffness.

Mixed feelings
I love this idea, bought a pack, and soon realized it would be perfect for a gift with a time crunch. (No need to frame the piece). I was a bit disappointed that the canvas was a bit looser than i would like, but not a deal breaker. You can see the folds in the Aida, marking the center, but that is easy enough to do myself. What I really did not like was the overall condition of the Aida, Very wrinkly, you can easily see an impression where the wood is all the way around. There are no instructions to deal with it. Can soak the whole thing? Do i need to steam it? Now instead of getting started, I have to figure out what I need to do. I would like to see either Aida ready to go, smooth, or instructions.

This product is fantastic for stitching up smaller gifts, both in terms of size and built in frame.
Michaels, you NEED to continue the product!!!
Additional colors (gray, beige, navy) and larger size (8x8) would be ideal.

This product is great for a small gift.
I'm using this product to make small plaques for my friends. It's easy to use, and you can personalize it by choosing your own design. After you finish the cross stitching, it doesn't need to be framed. It's all ready for hanging on the wall. I hope that Michael's will still sell them. Right now they are hard to find. Hope they won't be discontinued.

Instant gratification!
The aida cloth is pre-stretched onto a wooden frame, so there is no need for using embroidery hoops. Also, once the work is completed you can hang it up immediately!

Love this product
It makes it so much easier to make my small cross stitches. I wish you had more colors available and black light reactive string, because they pop amazingly on the black. I use to just buy the small black painting canvases; my needles always give me a hard time popping through those. All in all, I totally recommend this!
