Did not work!
I received it for a Christmas gift but was very disappointed because it did not work. The first Ottlite I purchased still works after 20 years so I wanted another Ottlite for more lighting in my newly remodeled sewing studio.

Excellent style & lighting
Purchased my 2nd Ottlite 18 watt table lamp. Cannot get it to turn on. Will bring back to Michael's for an exchange. My 1st lite the turn on button is inside the rectangular hole on the top left of the lamp. It kept sticking so it was time for a new one. I still use it, so instead of the button that does not work anymore i just plug it in everyday to use it.I noticed the
new lamp the turn on button is on the outside, i like this better. Will get to the store this week to have someone check it out. This lamp is excellent for my eyes in doing paperwork everyday. I will still keep the NEW lamp for a backup whether they can get it ti work or just exchange for a new one.I did notice that there were no 18 watt replacement bulbs at the store; i hope to get a replacement to keep on hand. Again wonderful lamp, the best i have ever had. We still have the floor lamp after all these years at the kitchen table.

Had difficulty with the bulb.
When I tried placing the bulb in, the lamp wouldn't work. So back to the store where it took 3 associates to figure out how the bulb should be installed - no easy feat! Glad the 3rd associate got it to work. The lamp itself is very good-lights my craft area with enough light and the footprint is small enough that it doesn't take up much room.

old, poorly stored product, poor customer service
First Ott light had been used/returned. it was missing a part and didn't work. This box was the cleanest and least beat up. There were 5 products on the shelf...all very dusty and all boxes have been opened. original lamp returned for an exchange. I wanted to complete the transaction and test the lamp before I left the store and was not permitted (I live approx 6 miles from store; Hobby Lobby only approx 21/2 miles.) My reason for choosing Michaels was b/c I had gift cards. It is most difficult to find an associate to help you and most often their responses are clipped and unhelpful. In the future, I will be specific in requesting gift cards for "craft store"... to Hobby Lobby or JoAnns; not Michaels!

Switch broke after a few years
When spending $100 for a table lamp, I thought it would be the last lamp I would buy. The switch sticks. It is difficult to turn on and turn off. I called Ott but discovered they could not send me a switch. I don’t want to spend another $100.

Doesn't work
Product does not work. Lamp will not fit into base. Even tried a new lamp I had purchased for my other OttLite floor lamp.
