painted heart shadow box

you shouldn't box off your heart... unless it is this sweet painted shadow box.
Step 1
Carefully remove glass pane from the frame.

Cut a simple heart template out of a sheet of scrap paper as a guide. Center the heart template on the glass pane and start tracing the outer edges of the heart with your large brush and craft paint.
 
Continue to fill in the first layer from the heart outline out toward the edges of the glass pane. Let dry.

Step 2
Apply a second coat of paint. If needed, apply another coat until you end up with an opaque “shadow” box, allowing the layers to completely dry in between.
 
Let the painted glass cure for as long as possible. Then, place desired photograph or artwork from your kids and reassemble frame.
