Pébéo Fantasy Prisme Discovery Set is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome Effects I love the Pebeo paints! Vitrail, Moon & Prisme create the coolest effects. They dry very fast so you must work swiftly in terms of covering the desired area and when mixing in other paints. The Discovery sets are nice to get familiar with the product, but a little pricey for what you get, only six small bottles. I recommend first-time users to practice on smaller surfaces before buying the large sizes and using for a large project. One big negative is they dry out even in the bottle with the cap securely on. I've learned to wipe off the inside of the cap and around the neck each time I use them, this ensures no product is left to create gaps in the sealing process which allows air to get in the bottle and dry out the product. Petroleum jelly works well for wiping the cap & neck. A lesser negative is this paint easily gets air bubbles which are difficult to eliminate before the paint begins to dry. Same goes for dust, be sure to work in a very clean area because once the paint begins to dry, removing dust will leave a mark on the surface. One big positive is that when the project is dry, the end result is gorgeous even without a finishing product (i.e. sealer, varnish, resin, etc.). It dries to a high glossy sheen and some of the colors have just a hint of metallic making the colors pop off the surface. Another positive is due to the density of the paint, it is almost self-leveling. It is not runny, and provides an even covering of the surface.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed Disappointed. The only bottle I opened did not contain the solvent that creates the special effects. I did not want to jeopardize my return since i paid so much for the set. I was not offered an exchange. I later saw that fresh sets were put out but by then i was feeling less adventurous and did not repurchase. I may try it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love them They are really fun to do dirty painting with. They are sticky so would not recommend using a brush, but do splatter paint they are great

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Think it's expired Would not stick to canvas and completely ruined one of my brushes because it was super sticky and even paint thinner would not cut it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes my work stand out. You have to use a respirator when using but I love the unique details these paints add to my finished work.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Buyer Beware Pebeo Fantasy and Vitril paints are awesome at first. The colors and effects are awesome. The problem is the shelf-life. They are only good for 2-3 weeks. If not completely used, the Fantasy paints become thick like toothpaste, chunky, and stop producing the effects. The Vitril paints turn to jello. At around $8.00/45ml bottle, that adds up fast. I purchased around 60 bottles between the 3 different lines because I loved this stuff at first. Now its all garbage. I HIGHLY recommend purchasing only what you absolutely need per project. Hard to do when experimenting with the different colors and effects is half fun...
