pineapple cake pops

Perfect for the summer party season, these cake pops add a tropical flair to every celebration. Easy-to-make using your favorite cake ball recipe, Wilton® yellow and dark green Candy Melts® candy, and Wilton® lollipop sticks.
Step 1
Prepare and bake your favorite cake ball recipe. Let cool. Then, cut and crumble into a large mixing bowl. Add in icing, mix well.
Step 2
Shape mixture into 1 oz. egg shapes and then refrigerate.
Step 3
Melt yellow Candy Melts® candy. Dip end of sticks into candy and then into top of cake pops. Refrigerate to set.
Step 4
Melt green Candy Melts® candy. Pour melted candy in a disposable decorating bag. Cut off 3/8" of the tip. Pipe a small amount of candy on parchment paper-covered board. Use a tapered spatula to immediately swipe candy into leaf shapes: some to the left, some to the right and some straight. Leaves should be no longer than 1" long. Make 5 leaves per pop. Let set.
Step 5
Place melted yellow Candy Melts® candy in a container (or bowl) deep enough to dip pops.
Step 6
Dip pops one at a time; tap to remove excess candy. Place in a Styrofoam™ block and chill 15 to 30 minutes.
Step 7
Pour melted yellow candy in a decorating bag, then cut off ¼" of the tip. Pipe lattice lines across and around the cake pop.
Step 8
Attach the leaves to top of the cake pops with melted candy. Let set 10 to 15 minutes.
