Artistic Calligraphy

These are wonderful products. Fade-proof, permanent, flows beautifully from my pointed pen nib, and yet, it keeps a body when dried. It looks as if the text was embossed. With >30 years of experience as a professional calligrapher, I know what I am talking about.

These inks are beautiful to paint with, I also added a bit into some acrylic colors I was painting with and they blended wonderfully, really leaving an almost hypnotic sparkle!

By nature of iridescent inks, the droppers like to get clogged. For the most part, I've found that a safety pin works to unclog them, but sometimes even that doesn't work. The inks themselves are beautiful and vibrant. I enjoy working with them when I can come up with things to do with such an iridescent medium, but that part is on me. I haven't gotten a chance to test the opacity of the white or silver, but most of the Ph Martin inks are great with their opacity so I don't have much concern.

I bought this ink set for dip pen calligraphy. The vibrant colors are amazing, especially on dark paper. The consistency is perfect for dip pens. There is also a set 2 (sadly not sold at my local Michael's) which I am definitely going to buy asap.
