I am so glad I bought these!!  I’ve been having so much fun with them and they give you a generous amount in each container.  The colors are very pigmented and a little bit goes a long way.  These are a great way to try out gouache without having to invest in a bunch of the pricer options on the market, until you know you like the medium.  Great for students, or anyone who is just learning to use gouache or painting in general. Highly recommend!!

The paint is actually 5 stars. I really enjoyed it. It had great pigment. The problem is the packaging. The foil cover is impossible to remove. I had to poke holes in some of the containers to get to the paint. It was also very hard to remove some of the individual paint containers from the box. It would be nice if the stamped on names of the colors were more visible. My problem is with the packaging, not the paint. The concept for the paint containers is great, just poorly executed. I do recommend this as, just warning you the packaging is a mess.

I am new to gouache painting (mostly paint with acrylics and watercolor). I bought this set to explore new technique and paints as well as to step out of what I use for commission art and to play around. The set is lovely. I needed the paints, not the brushes or palette, so those were a nice bonus, making for easy clean up. The box is a little harder to snap closed than I anticipated, but it does prove that it works to seal the paints. I'm happy with the purchase!
