The product itself may function as intended. However, the package was obviously tampered with and the protective cap as pictured is missing. The easy knotter base clearly shows that it did have the protective cap at some point because it left a distinct circle mark/smudge where it belongs. Michaels customer service is disappointing at best because although i ordered online i must visit the store to process a return or replacement which is incredibly inconvenient. So I’ll be stuck with an incomplete/used product even though i purchased a new item.

This is very helpful!  Plus the inventor's how to video of how to make a knotted necklace was good too.  Disappointed in Michaels that they sent the wrong items for the video and did not take them back.
