I had to purchase multiple packages because the adhesive no longer held.  The tabs loose their "glue" while sitting on the shelf.  I can not verify the shelf life of the products when I purchased them but I can say they fail while in my four month possession.  Additionally, while attached to a window, they will adhere for quite some time but will detach if there is a significant change in temperature.

3M Command Utility hooks were purchased for the purpose of supporting curtain tie-backs. The hooks were 2 in this package with extra sticky tapes for re-using the hooks. This was generous and helpful to get extra use out of the hooks. I found it very convenient to find the 3M hooks at Michael's rather than having to go to a hardware store to find them.

Command Hooks, along with the Command product line are great to put hooks on the wall. More importantly, these are removable by pulling the adhesive tab downward slowly. I've never had a problem removing the adhesive and there is no wall/paint damage.
