It was slightly itchy and then I realized that once you wash it, the material feels a lot better. When I got this throw, I was ready to throw it in the wash when I realized it was so soft. I don't know if the company heard the reviews or what happened, but I'm extremely happy with this throw and intend to purchase a few more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a beautiful and well made blanket. I'm 4'11", so this blanket covers me from shoulder to toe. I like to wrap myself in it while doing work online, sitting at my desk. The size of it makes it very easy to take in the car for longer trips. It's not really soft, since it's made from cotton, but it's pretty warm nonetheless. I love the look of it!

Not the softest thing but not course either - sort of what you'd expect of a cotton blanket, I guess. Washed up fine in the machine and is a great little blanket for the couch.
